first, there are a lot of questions on fromm\!\! i saw the article this morning too ㅎㅎ
so, the role of sung jinah is mostly lines, and there’s no skating at all ㅎㅎ
actually, i’ve never skated in my life
i’ve done some movies and dramas before, but this is my first musical,
so having my very first musical be solo leveling is an honor
how i got the solo leveling musical:
they reached out first with an offer, it was such a good opportunity that i went to a meeting,
and after the meeting they told me i’d been finally cast
“so they contacted you first, chaeyeon, i guess they really liked you”
yes, they reached out to my company first ㅎㅎ
during the first meeting we talked a lot
when i started acting, how tripleS activities are going these days, etc.
i even prepared a few free-acting pieces and they said they wanted to see everything i prepared, so i performed them all
“chaeyeon, do you have a lot of lines? 🥺”
the director said that the roles of sung jin-ah and yoo jinho don’t skate,
but their script portions are the biggest-big enough that people who don’t know solo leveling might think
’are those two the main characters..?’
so there are lots of lines and acting skill is important, which means i have to work hard
of course i already knew solo leveling since the webtoon and anime are so famous,
and i heard it’s getting a drama adaptation too\!
“starring byun wooseok and han sohee”
wow really? that’s amazing… i have to watch that drama
many solo leveling fans will probably come to see the musical,
so i’ll do my best since it’s such a great opportunity

but now i can fill it with solo leveling ㅎㅎ
i just checked my naver profile filmography and realized all my acting projects stopped in my teens

ㅎㅎ at 22 it’s starting to move again
even though the first meeting ended on a good note, i tried to keep my expectations low and just waited,
so when my company told me i’d been officially cast i was really happy
“ahhh you must have been so happy when you heard you were cast”
yes ㅎㅎ
until the news article came out i quietly kept the secret,
but it was so hard not to tell you y/n 😂
